Cinders is a hexadic, Indie Pop band who recently released their single, "Sleep Walking"! If you haven’t heard of this Salt Lake City band, you may just want to take a peak!
Now, I don’t know about you, but when it comes to listening to new music, I am very skeptical on knowing whether I am going to like it or not. Change at its best! However, "Sleep Walking" has got me in the mood, not only for s’mores, but for smiles all day long!
When the song first started, it immediately caught my attention with the upbeat guitar. The vocals were very catchy and it was nice to be able to sing along with it. The overall message in the song has gotten across not just through the exciting lyrics, but through their music video as well (and I loved the reference to the movie, The Parent Trap. As far as in relation to other songs, I loved the switch up in the tone. To me, the pop really stood out. I also took a glance into the comments section to see what other viewers are saying, and, they are all positive! I agree with the viewers when they say the song is so “wholesome” and that it gives you a “boost of energy”! Whilst playing for different spectators around the States, and just by listening to this single, I can tell that Cinders is already on a strong and prosperous path in their music career.
Overall, "Sleep Walking" is a success in my book! It is definitely something I’ll be adding to my playlist! I hope to see Cinders release more like this in the future, as well as more music videos to give visuals to their creative stories. I applaud and also admire this fun group of talent.
