Indiana-based elder emo/post-hardcore band Faith in Nothing dropped their latest single “New Habit” yesterday, June 28th. The band features the talents of Austin Carter (vocals), Bailey Evans (guitar), Charlie Sandberg (guitar), Ryan Wolfe (bass), and Dan Willig (drums). Faith in Nothing continues to put out expansive rock anthems that comment openly on the state of the world today. This high energy track is a call to action: For those feeling forgotten and left behind, stand up and take your life back, persist at all costs. “New Habit” delivers a fervent, honest metaphor through a heavy, nostalgic emo style.
I was drawn into this track by the clear mix, gorgeously balancing each element of the music. We’re led through the song by emotive, confessional vocals. Supported by sweeping layers of guitar, powerful drums, and post-hardcore screams, the band creates a haunting, atmospheric landscape. Faith in Nothing crafts an expert sound and evokes emotion with “New Habit." We’re excited to hear their future releases.
