Joe's Groove Huddle "Heading to Myself" Single Review

Joe's Groove Huddle formed in 2020 by Jochen "Joe" Kinzig in Germany. Joe formed the project during the pandemic and the stand still in live music. He was a part of other bands but they, of course, were on hold due to the pandemic. The bassist decided to start writing and recording his own songs and released his first single "Good Day" in 2021. The project has had a lineup of a variety of musicians from Joe's previous and current bands, as well as some international musicians. Joe's Groove Huddle released their newest single "Heading to Myself" on August 11, 2023.

"Heading to Myself" is just as the band name insinuates, it's groovy for a rock song. The song has a balanced mix of classic rock instrumentals as well as a wonderful groove to it. It's not something I've heard before personally, but it's really enjoyable and a surprisingly good combination. The instrumentals are fairly consistent. It keeps a steady rhythm. The lyrics are fun and catchy, super easy to remember and sing along to. Joe's vocals compliment the groovy vibes well. He has a soothing and beautiful voice that fits this genre of music. The song overall is repetitive instrumentally and lyrically, but that makes for a catchy and easy to learn song.

Joe's Groove Huddle has a good start on music. "Heading to Myself" doesn't sound like anything I've heard before and makes for a fun and unique experience. Joe did an excellent job creating something new and groovy. If "Heading to Myself" is any indication of future music, Joe's Groove Huddle is going to do fantastic things.
