Nick Muilaert is a Chicago based indie singer/songwriter. Nick started making music in 2018 with a handful of instruments and basic use of GarageBand. He released his first song “Wonder” as a 90s inspired rock song about the “what now?” feeling after finishing high school. Since then, Nick has been making music and making his own path with 90s influences of indie and rock and a couple other genres. On November 10th, Nick released his latest single “Good Tymes”.
“Good Tymes” is a thought provoking song that explores the feelings of nostalgia and becoming an adult. The song has 90s indie folk musical influences that create such a captivating single. The song has a slow, lullaby-like start, reminiscent of 90s movie montages. Nick keeps a consistent pace with the song, both calm and soothing. The song lulls you into a sense of peace, making you think of the good times. It very much has that nostalgic appeal that Nick was shooting for. “Good Tymes” follows a steady pattern, allowing you to keep a sense of peace while listening.
Overall, Nick's “Good Tymes” is calming and provokes feelings of nostalgia. It's a feel good kind of song. Nick is definitely set for success as an indie artist if he continues to make such beautiful music. We can't wait to hear more.
