Artist of the Week: Nora Marks

This week we’re featuring Chicago-based rock band Nora Marks. The group features the talents of Michael Garrity, Matt Garrity, and Matt Galante. Nora Marks released their EP “The Buzzing of Flies” in 2022, and have been rocking Chicago stages at Liar’s Club, Beat Kitchen, and Subterranean, to name a few. With their consistent dedication to creating music and performing, Nora Marks is sure to be Chicago’s new favorite band.

Song of the Week: Hunch- Nora Marks

This week we’re featuring “Hunch,” the first song off the band’s EP “The Buzzing of Flies.” This upbeat rock hit feels like the beginning of a coming of age film. From its danceable beat and catchy chorus, this song is sure to get you on your feet. “Hunch” reminds me a bit of Bleachers, with the quickly-delivered verses and larger than life chorus, I hear similarities to Jack Antonoff’s style. After one listen, you’ll want to add “Hunch” to your favorite playlist.
