Of House "Name" Single Review

Detroit-based indie rock band Of House released their latest single “Name” on August 25th, 2023 via Underflow Records. Described as “the Boss meets The Ronettes,” Of House has been gaining recognition around Detroit for their electrifying live performances. Led by Nick Van Huis with support from Blake Hart, Pat Nolan, Gabe Downey, Mitch Segall, and Amanda Van Huis, this release continues to push the band’s music into new and exciting territories.

Altogether dreamy and genuine, “Name” embraces life’s uncertainties, channeling an airy, open sound. The track begins with driving drums, angelic vocals, and melodic guitar. Lead vocals feel personal and sincere, like listening to a story from a friend. Instrumentals between verses are vast, seamlessly weaving drums and sweeping guitar. “Name” creates a fully immersive sound,

leaving listeners with a refreshing sense of

purpose and inspiration.

As will all Of House releases, profits will be donated to charity. “Name” will be raising money for The National Center for Transgender Equality.
