New York-based pop punk five piece Persei recently dropped their latest single “Faith.” This is the second single ahead of their forthcoming debut LP What’s Left Inside. This song perpetuates the theme of facing discomfort in periods of sustained growth, begging the question “Why?” in light of life’s lowest points. “Faith” is an outspoken track, detailing the complexities of religion in the midst of affliction.
Persei disputes these ideas through their distinct, gritty pop punk sound. Kicking open with driving instrumentals, “Faith” pushes high energy throughout. The vocals range between controlled, emphatic verses and impassioned, soaring screams in the chorus. Persei continues to build a dynamic, cohesive sound, which is sure to come full circle upon the release of What’s Left Inside.
