Please Her "Public Relations" Album Review

Written by Demi Marshall

Indiana-based funk-pop band Please Her recently dropped their highly anticipated first album. Aptly titled Public Relations, the record is an experience of the young, collegiate psyche, peeking into the minds of busy students and their satirical relation to public perception. Fun, upbeat, and drenched in funk, Public Relations brings the danceable energy of a live show right to your ears.

“Funk it Up” opens the dance floor with groovy guitar licks, jazzy drums, and energized vocals. “12 @ the Party” captures Saturday night in a song with funky rhythms and a catchy chorus to boot. “Out of Pocket” channels bluesy angst with powerful riffs and commanding, rhythmic vocals. Please Her brings a vibrant, dancey style to Indiana’s quiet cornfields.
