Three piece trash rock band Radar Waves hails from the western suburbs of Chicago, mixing genres like grunge, pop, rock, and attempted metal. 2023 was quite a year for the band as they changed their name from simply Radar to Radar Waves, as well as releasing their latest EP Call It a Day. With a balance of driving, high energy, and contemplative tracks, the band adds new hits to their impressive discography.
“Bear Nair” opens this release with electric guitar and crashing drum instrumentals, gradually immersing listeners in the EP. This track seamlessly transitions into “Moths,” featuring a surging, heavy blend of rock and metal. “Everybody’s Bitchin’” is a no-stops, energetic track with emphatic vocals, driving drums, and gritty guitar riffs. Radar Waves forms a new, exciting mix of various rock styles on Call It a Day.
