The Braymores: Song/Artist of the Week

Written by Cheyenne Davey

Artist of the Week: The Braymores

The Braymores are an up and coming Chicago-based indie rock four piece. With sounds reminiscent of artists like Peach Pit and The Backseat Lovers, the band implements anthemic coming-of-age lyrics and sharp instrumentals. Consisting of Matt (lead vocals/guitar), Russ (drums), Keegan (vocals/lead guitar), and Wyatt (bass), in 2023 they released their debut single “Past Crimes” and their EP Talking to Trees. The Braymores look forward to more live shows in Chicago, touring the Midwest, and releasing their debut album in 2024.

Song of the Week: “Past Crimes” by The Braymores

“Past Crimes” is a calming, melodic track. The vocals are so smooth and charming. The song envelopes you in a sense of tranquility and warmth with its beautiful instrumentals and soothing vocals. The drums are nice and steady, giving a sense of peaceful consistency. Overall “Past Crimes” is a gorgeous, melodic song.
